CCO Oregon’s Pharmacy work group focuses on discussing and advancing policies that support appropriate medication management and pharmaceutical cost-control within the coordinated care model. While this is an independent group, the conversations are strategically aligned with the Oregon Health Authority’s ACE-P Committee, Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, and other related committees.
Ongoing discussions address aligned preferred drug list (PDL) proposals, pharmacist prescribing, medication therapy management, and other policies and rules that impact pharmacy costs and operations.
The work group frequently collaborates with the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (P&T Committee), the Oregon Health Policy Board (OHPB), and other governing committees to make recommendations on potential operational and policy changes.
